Welcome on Free MMORPG! Today short list of basic terms, used in Maple Story. When you are playing, people are using this kind of keywords or short terms very often, so i hope this will be handy :-)

Mapling – Well, it’s basic therm for every Maple Story player. This mean just “playing in Maple Story, so if you are fighting with monsters, enemies, traveling or just farming maple mesos – its all Mapling.

KS – or just “Kill Stealing”. It’s when someone in Maple Story of a higher level comes by where lower level characters are training and kills your opponents. Well, you can always ask him to leave (but do it politely). In other free MMORPG that kind of things, sometimes happen.

NX Cash – Term for special NX Cash. This special money are used to buy bonus items in special in-game shop. Well, you need real money to buy NX Cash – to buy cool stuff. Anyway one small tip, don’t try to beg for Maple mesos, it’s very risky because other players can kill your character for this (each death – 10% experience less).

NPC – It’s short term from Non-Player Character, almost every MMORPG player know meaning of this term. I think it’s impossible to play in game without them. Well, all the characters in the towns that just stand around or move a few feet are NPC.
Mush – Other popular and basic term, this one is from word – Mushroom. In Maple Story, there are lots of mushroom monsters, and varieties of them. You can meet them everywhere so get use to it.

Pots – in other words, potions – you need them all! In Maple Story, potions are extremely important your character. It’s short form for potions. Why? Well, if you die, you will lose 10 % of your experience. They are very important so you should always take several different potions during your “Mapling time”.
